With a RF power meter connected to the output of my Kuhne '23 G2' transverter I noticed RF spikes with or without any drive while switching from receive to transmit and back to receive again. The issue might be unique to my setup however I decided to compare the DC TX/RX switching circuit in my transverter with the later '23 G3' model.
The following modification takes the RX/TX DC switching circuit of the later '23 G3' and integrates it into my '23 G2' transverter. After producing a prototype on veroboard a much smaller board using surface mount devices was produced in Kicad so it could be mounted inside the transverter. After fitting the board I am not seeing any more RF spikes when I press and release the PTT.

The 5v receive rail becomes active before the 10v Tx rail has dropped to zero.
